Therapy for Moms
Because you deserve to do more than just survive.
I knew motherhood would be hard but I definitely wasn’t expecting this…
You knew motherhood wouldn’t be easy but no amount of pregnancy books, birth classes, or articles you read prepared you for this part- the endless days of worries, crushing self doubt, irritation and rage you’ve never felt before, and that constant feeling that you’re not quite measuring up. Motherhood is a tough job, but it doesn’t have to be like this!
I knew my life would change, but it seems like everyone else is handling motherhood with ease.
You knew things would change in motherhood. You’d be responsible for caring for a new baby after all. So why did no one talk about the mental load that comes with it, the constant worry about baby’s safety, resentment that your significant other’s life doesn’t seem to have changed as drastically, the self doubt constantly in the back of your head wondering why everyone else has it handled while you’re feeling like a total failure, and that little shameful feeling that you miss your old life?
First, I want you to know you’re not the only one. If this is such a common occurrence, why isn’t it included in those pregnancy books, articles, and classes? It should be! Not talking about these truths is adding one major burden to moms’ already overfull plate- SHAME. That’s where therapy comes in.

Navigating motherhood isn't the picture perfect image once imagined. That image you once had has been replaced with days full of self doubt, a constant juggle of the needs of others, leaving you feeling drained and not fulfilled in the way you expected. But what if you could believe, deep down, that you're already enough? That you’re inherently worthy. Period. Your worth is not dependent on the state of your laundry, the pile of Legos in your living room, or your career success. Many of my clients have spent years, even pre-motherhood, searching for the confidence to embrace their messy, authentic, and emotionally free selves.
You're seeking a shift from the pressure to be perfect to a place of genuine confidence and fulfillment. The truth is, that fulfillment won't come from checking off another task or chasing after the illusion of perfection. It comes from within, from being present in the moment and embracing your imperfections.
In therapy with me, we'll delve into the roots of your anxiety and overwhelm, tracing them back to past experiences and beliefs. Together, we'll develop daily practices to help you navigate tense moments and reprocess those nagging messages of inadequacy. It's time to shed the weight of self-doubt and embrace a life of belonging and freedom.
Motherhood was supposed to be filled with cherished memories, but the reality is far from perfect. You've been chasing an ideal that doesn't exist, leaving you feeling defeated and unsure. Yet, here's the truth: you don't need picture-perfect motherhood. What you truly crave is confidence in your role as a mother.
In our therapy sessions, we'll focus on nurturing that confidence, finding balance amidst the chaos, and equipping you with tools to navigate the challenges of parenting. Together, we'll create lasting change, empowering you to handle whatever comes your way with grace and resilience. It's time to rewrite the narrative of motherhood and embrace a journey filled with authenticity and self-assurance.

The length of therapy varies person to person depending on personal goals, issues faced leading to therapy, and many other personal factors.I often recommend clients begin with weekly sessions before transitioning to bi-weekly when it feels appropriate, monthly, and then as needed.
Does virtual therapy work?
Yes! Virtual therapy can be just as effective as in person therapy. For our busy lifestyles, it may even be the preferred option for many. Virtual therapy allows many to schedule appointments in the midst of their busy schedule, not need to add in drive time, and even attend sessions in the comfort of their own home!
How can I prepare for my first session?
Although I first want to say there’s nothing you need to do to prepare, I understand the temptation to want to feel the most prepared. Here are a few tips that can help:-Write down any topics or questions you really want to discuss so you won’t forget.
-Make sure you have a good internet connection, plug in your device if you need, and get comfy. You may even want to grab a cozy drink and a blanket!
-Be honest, open, and remember that I am here to support you. Not to judge.
Can my baby join for sessions?
Of course! I want this to be a time where you can feel the most comfortable, relaxed, and able to focus on you. Baby is welcome to join if that’s what works best for you!
